Agricultural tour is designed for people that want to be in the nature and get familiar with the traditional Cretan way of living. It includes various options and many visits to places that promote the Cretan culture and heritage.

Day 1: Arrival in Crete. Meeting and assistance transfer to the hotel in Rethymno. (72 km west of Heraklion). Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full day excursion to: The Monastery of Arkadi – it is the most celebrated and one of the most impressive Cretan monasteries. Although injured by the holocaust of 1866, the whole building complex survives and constitutes a characteristic example of monasterial architecture, as it was formed in Crete during the late years of the Venetian rule. Next stop are the Avocado Plantations in Chania, the orange-factory of Viokym, the leather/meat/fruit market of Chania – famous for its shape and the variety of Cretan products. Dinner and overnight in Rethymno.
- Option 1: Cretan cuisine Excursion the village of Vamos 20 km from Rethymno. Upon arrival a welcome drink/coffee is offered to the clients, as well as an introduction to the village and its activities. The tour will continue with the women of the village preparing Cretan dishes as well as explainig the whole presidure getting while the lunch table is getting ready. The clients will visit the exhibition of the Village which exhibits Greek culture and the wine-grocer products. Lunch is served.
- Option 2: From Pollen to honey Excursion to the village of Vamos, 20 km from Rethymno. The clients will have the opportunity to see the whole procedure of honey production, by visiting an area of where the bees are. Lunch is prepared and offered to all clients.
- Option 3: Excursion to the Monastery of Preveli and Fragokastello. The journey to the South of Crete and the Monastery of Preveli offers unique moments of excitement to the visitor, who finds himself in a landscape completely different and special, stamped with memories of old hermitages. The monastery of Prevelis consisted of two monastic complexes. The Lower monastery is consecrated Dinner and overnight in Rethymno.
Day 4: Full day excursion to: Palace of Phaestos, the monastery of Kaliviani, where the clients will have the opportunity to see needlework (with famous laces). Next stop will be the agricultural school of Messara, and a lot of greenhouses (cucumbers- tomatoes- carnations- courgettes- pumpkins etc.) Dinner and overnight in Heraklion.
Day 5: Full day excursion to: Archeological museum of Heraklion, the palace of King Minos in Knossos and the agricultural village of Peza. After Peza they will visit the village of Thrapsano for traditional pottery making. The production procedure and the shapes of this pottery are almost the same for many centuries now and this village has one of the biggest traditions in Crete. Dinner + overnight in Heraklion.
Day 6: Full day excursion to: The Plateau of Lassithi with its wonderful landscape and hundreds of old windmills. The clients will visit an olive oil factory and a cheese factory. Both Cretan products are famous all over Europe for their excellent quality.
Day 7: Full day excursion to: Banana plantations of Malia – Crete is one of the few places in Europe producing bananas. After we go to the town Ierapetra (South Crete) to visit various greenhouses. The town of Sitia and the monastery of Toplou are the last stops for today. Toplou is built on a dry and rocky plateau in the easternmost corner of Crete. Dinner and overnight in Heraklion.
Day 8: End of our Agricultural group. Transfers to the airport or port and departure.
